The Right Effort
An initiative of AIAT to apply knowledge in service
Samyag Vyāyāma (सम्यग्व्यायाम) — The Right Effort — is an initiative of AIAT where faculty and students support community projects in Auroville related to the fields of knowledge and expertise they possess.
It allows the faculty to apply their knowledge and continue to be practitioners while training youth in real-life projects beyond college. It also enables youth to meaningfully develop skills in their area of expertise and supports their college expenses, lessening the impact on their families. The initiative is supported by a generous donation from a dedicated donor.
The term Samyag Vyāyāma comes from the Noble Eightfold Path — representing the balanced, conscious, and right effort towards progress and self-mastery. This principle reflects how AIAT integrates learning, work, and service in harmony.
